#She's So...Kathy Eldon and Amy Eldon Turteltaub
"I do it because I am passionate about the world right now."
Inspired by the life of Dan Eldon, a 22-year-old photojournalist who was killed in Somalia in 1993, his mother and sister, Kathy and Amy Eldon, founded Creative Visions to support creative activists who "use their creativity for good, just like Dan."
"I do it because I am passionate about the world right now. The world is in need of inspiration and empowerment. We often feel very helpless and hopeless because we don't know what to do to solve social, environmental, and humanitarian problems. And I think the way we can do it is through creative activism. Through storytelling of all varieties—art, music, dance, drama, film, the stories that will move us to want to take action about issues that really matter."
"There was a quote that I heard the other day, which was when there's no hope, you have to be the hope. I want to show my kids that there is hope."
