MM Piercing Studio Consent & Safety Agreement

Before the glam, let’s get on the same page.

At the Melinda Maria Piercing Event, we offer earlobe and select cartilage piercings for guests 13 and older. We use sterile, single-use supplies and autoclaved 14k yellow or white gold studs with titanium backs—only the best for your ears.

By booking your appointment, you're confirming the following:

Eligibility & ID Requirements

• You must be 18 or older, or at least 13 with a parent or legal guardian present.
• A valid government-issued photo ID (like a passport or driver’s license) is required—no digital copies, please.
• If you're under 18, both you and your parent/guardian must bring ID, and your adult must sign off on everything too.
• All service fees and products purchased for piercing are final sale and non-refundable.
• Melinda Maria reserves the right to refuse piercing services at any time and for any reason.

Health & Wellness

By checking in for your appointment, you confirm that:

• You’re not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
• You do not have any condition or medication that may affect healing (think: blood thinners, diabetes, pregnancy, etc.). If unsure, please check with your physician first.
• You won’t be pierced over rashes, infections, abrasions, or if you’re pregnant or nursing.
• You understand the inherent risks of any piercing—like swelling, bleeding, infection, allergic reactions, or scarring.
• You’ll speak up if you feel faint or lightheaded at any time during or after your appointment.

Procedure, Care & Safety

• You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions post-appointment—please follow them closely. Every ear is different, and reactions may vary.
• If you notice signs of infection (redness, swelling, pain, discharge, or fever), you agree to seek medical care within 24 hours and notify your local Department of Health if needed.
• Your personal info will be handled according to our Privacy Policy, and your ID may be securely retained if legally required.

Content & Community

We love to capture the moment—and you might too. By participating, you give Melinda Maria permission to use any photos or videos taken during your appointment (or event day!) for promotional use. No compensation will be provided, but all the glam will be yours forever.

Waiver & Release

You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with receiving a piercing and waive any claims against Melinda Maria, our team, or our partners for injury or property loss, including those arising from negligence or improper aftercare. This waiver also applies to any location where we offer piercing services.

You further waive your rights under California Civil Code Section 1542 or similar laws, which means you’re releasing claims even if you’re not currently aware of them.

By signing, you agree that:

• You’re providing accurate info.
• You understand and accept the terms above.
• You’re legally empowered to do so for yourself—or on behalf of a minor in your care.
