What is Calicut™ Zirconia?
Calicut™ Zirconia is our signature stone: the sparkle you love, made to the standards of fine jewelry. Here's everything you need to know.
What is Calicut™ Zirconia?
It's our name for the cubic zirconia in our pieces. Every stone is precision-cut, hand-set, and sourced at 5A, the top grade of CZ. Think of it as our simulated diamond with a name that finally does it justice.
Is it a real diamond?
Nope, and we'd never pretend it is. Calicut Zirconia is a simulated diamond. You get the sparkle without the fine-jewelry price tag.
Why did you give it its own name?
Because "CZ" doesn't say much about what's actually in your jewelry. We hold our pieces to the same standards as any fine jewelry or luxury brand, so our stone got a name to match.
What does 5A mean?
5A is the highest grade of cubic zirconia. We choose ours for clarity, fire, and a precise cut.
Why does my product page say "Simulated Diamonds"?
That's the everyday term for what Calicut Zirconia is. We list both so you always know exactly what you're getting.
Is every stone in my piece Calicut™ Zirconia?
Calicut Zirconia is only our cubic zirconia, including our colored CZ. Pearls, opals, labradorite, and other stones are named for what they are. Check the Materials section on your piece's product page for the full list.
Will my stones stay put?
Stones are hand-set and go through a three-step test (adhesive, vibration, and tapping) to make sure they're secure. If your piece breaks during normal wear because of a defect in materials or workmanship, our Lifetime Guarantee has you covered. Send your order number and a photo to [email protected].
What is the MM Mark of Authenticity?
It's our initials, etched onto the tiny (about 1mm) Calicut™ stone in your piece. It's too small to see with the naked eye, so you'll need magnification of 1000x. A standard you can see, even if just barely.
Does my piece have the MM Mark?
Look for the MM Mark section on the product page to identify if your piece carries the Mark of Authenticity.
